Mission Statement

The Ahlefeldt-Holst Center for Research in the Humanities is dedicated to further understanding of human intent based on human expression and to promote human logistics solutions based on that understanding.

Every one of us daily encounter people we do not know personally. Ocassionally we are allocated only a tiny time slot in which to get a rough idea about the intentions of strangers and to engage them on the basis of that rough idea. ID and access control systems are prime examples of assumed intent deciding flow of movement. Acknowledging the interdependency of the mental spheres of meaning and intent and the physical spheres of movement and direction, the Ahlefeldt-Holst Center for Research in the Humanities develops applications, systems and organizational models that facilitate understanding of human intentions, alignment of human intentions and assignment of human intentions, based on research in semantics and human logistics.
